Newsletter FAQ
What can I expect from the newsletter?
Each month we will send you a letter containing upcoming events, our fave magazines of this month and new titles that have hit the shelves. It's a great way to find a hidden gem you may not have expected to like. We judge the mags by much more than the cover (although we appreciate aesthetics too!).
Where is my information being kept?
Your details are kept securely on our Mailchimp subscriber list. This is password protected and stored responsibly so that no members of the public can access the information except the owner and supervisor of Magazine Brighton. Our sole use for keeping your details is to send newsletters and information on events.
If you give information to us personally in the shop it will be kept safely on a card in a locked container. Once a request/negotiation has been completed, we will destroy this data to comply with your right to erasure.
In regards to online purchases, we keep information such as address, name and contact details behind a secure password protected system. This information is kept for processing the order and is stored on a separate mailing list- we will never send any marketing information or newsletters to you unless you specifically opt-in for it. Contact details are kept simply for interaction based on your purchase (letting you know it has shipped and etc.)
How to I unsubscribe?
Sometimes you have to do some inbox spring cleaning, we get that completely. At the bottom of every newsletter we send there are two buttons; either 'update your preferences' or 'unsubscribe from this list'. It's that simple.
Is your content safe for children?
In store, a few of our magazines do use strong language and imagery. However, with the personal content we create (such as newsletters and emails) we make sure to never share sensitive or explicit content.
Our promise to you...
We promise to never distribute email addresses and personal information to outside organisations or people. We understand that privacy is important to an individual and will never sell or give away information we receive.
